Municipal Library
Wonju municipal central library is the largest public library in Gangwon-do which conducts its function as the center of knowledge, information and culture leading the Information and technology centric society of 21st century. There are 260 thousand books and 20 thousand electronic books in library which citizens regardless of age can conveniently use the data. Also, the library provides program which supports reading activity of citizen.
The library succeeded academic performance and spirit of late Dr. Joongcheon Kim Choong Yeol, the master of oriental philosophy as the first philosophy library in Korea, and also runs Joongcheon Philosophy library and Teajang library established for popularization of philosophy.
