Higashimatsuyama (東松山市, literally “East Pine-Tree Mountain”) is a city located in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The city was founded on July 1, 1954.
As of April 1, 2011, the city has an estimated population of 89,647, with 35,720 households and a population density of 1,372.22 persons per km². The total area is 65.33 km2 (25.22 sq mi).
The city is served by Takasaka and Higashi-Matsuyama Stations on the Tōbu Tōjō Line, providing a direct rail service to Ikebukuro in Tokyo.
In 1967, the Maruki Gallery for the Hiroshima Panels, was established in Higashi-Matsuyama.
